LiMa Plant Inauguration

Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc (YMPH) inaugurated its new motorcycle manufacturing facility at LiMa Technology Center, Malvar, Batangas.

The inauguration was graced by Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd (YMC) President and CEO Takashi Kajikawa. Also, YMPH President Yoshiaki Takeda led invited guests from the government sector, dealer partners, and other business partners, in a tour of the modern facility.

The plant has a starting production capacity of 150,000 units per year and a workforce of 320 personnel. It covers a total floor area of approximately 40,000 square meters from a vast land area of 23 hectares. The facility will mainly manufacture automatic, underbone and business motorcycles with 110 cc to 135 cc displacement engines.

YMPH Dealer Convention a Success!

The first Dealer Convention of Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. (YMPH) for the year proved to be a success last March 30th at Sofitel Hotel, Manila. The Dealer Convention was the culminating event for Yamaha authorized dealers.

One of the hot topics in the convention was the introduction of the new line of Mio Automatic motorcycles. Yamaha has long started the trend in automatic motorcycles locally and consequently created a distinctive market segment. The new look and colors of the Mio Automatic created a buzz among the participants that it will be very much welcomed by the young market.

YMPH also gave the guests an insight into what the next big thing is. This year will be the introduction of VEGA, the New Smart Basic model, perfect for commuting to work or school, shopping and business.

These new models will prove to be vital and essential in the contribution of varying taste of the market.

The toast to a brand new day not only symbolizes the new line-up and the just opened factory but also new-found experiences learned.
