A sea of runners in red and black flocked the serene streets of Bonifacio Global City on July 3 for the first installment of Yamaha Run for Heroes.
The first company-initiated public run by Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. (YMPH), Yamaha Run for Heroes attracted almost 8,000 runners from Metro Manila and neighboring cities. A perfect sunny weather greeted the runners as they gathered together to embark on this running event.
YMPH was able to raise over P1,000,000.00 for the official event charity, Hero Foundation, Inc. - an Ayala Group initiative which provides education support for children of soldiers who have died or permanently incapacitated in the line of duty.
YMPH President, Takeshi Yano said “it was very overwhelming to see so many people running together to help children in need.”
Sir Yano, with topnotch runner Rio dela Cruz of Runrio, Inc., awarded the overall winners below:
