Yamaha "Make It Different" Song Making Contest

Eligibility

1. Contest is open to all amateur and professional singers and groups, with members 18 years old and above.
2. Participants should not be affiliated or have existing contract with record agency.

General Mechanics

1. Entrants should "like" the official song making contest page on Facebook.
2. Theme of the song should be about lifestyle and should revolve around Yamaha's corporate slogan, "Make It Different".
3. Length of the song should be about 3-4 minutes, and not more than 5 minutes.
4. Original tune is required. POP and ROCK are the only genres allowed.
5. Song lyrics must be original
6. The song should be recorded and upoaded in YOUTUBE and teh link should be shared on the official contest page,Facebook.
7. Contest runs to July 1 up to October 30, 2011. Announcement of winners will be on November 17,2011
8. Winners will be determined based on the following criteria:
   • 30% - Lyrics/Relevance to the theme
   • 20% - Melody/Musicality
   • 20% - Originality
   • 15% - Recall
   • 15% - Audience response
